States of India where primitive subsistence farming is practised are Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Western Ghats and Eastern Rajasthan, Himalayan belt, Jharkhand, North Eastern region, Manipur, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Island.
