Artificial habitats are habitats created by human beings for the survival of animal or plant species.

However natural habitats are preferred to artificial habitats.

Some of the species that can be kept in artificial habitats are as follows :

1) Fish

2) Wild animals such as monkeys .

3) Tomatoes in greenhouse.

These are just but a few species that can thrive well in artificial habitats.

Fish are usually kept in the fish pond.

They thrive well in ponds since they feed on water weeds which are readily available in the ponds.

Monkeys can be kept in zoos and they survive well since their meals are not complicated. The feed on simple things like bananas.

Tomatoes thrive well in greenhouse since in greenhouse the moisture and temperature is controlled.
