photosynthesis involves 2 phases

first is photochemical phase called light rxn

and second is dark rxn

during light rxn ATP and NADPH are produced water splitting evolve oxygen as byproduct.

DURING DARK RXN  the ATP AND NADPH are used for reducing co2 to sugar that is food
