The three major functional region of cell are (1) Nucleus (2) Mitochondria and (3) Ribosomes. 1. Nucleus controls the activities of the cell.

These are the 3 functional regions of a cell:

- Nucleus: It is a central unit of a cell which controls all the functions takes place in a cell. It has a nucleolus inside it which contains genetic material.

- Mitochondria: It is a power house of a cell. It generates ATP. It has finger like projections inside it called cristea.

- Chloroplast: It stores the food. It contains chlorophyll which is a necessary pigment in photosynthesis. It has a thalakoid membrane.
