Calcium chloride is formed by the reaction between the Hydrochloric acid and Calcium hydroxide.

The reaction between acid and base yields always to salt and water only.

Ca(OH)2 is the formula for calcium and hydroxide and HCl is the formula for hydrochloric acid.

Salt is neutral in nature generally as it is formed between the combination of cation and anion.
