The calcium carbonate base and sulfuric acid can form calcium sulfate salt.

• We know that base and acid always reacts with each other to form neutral salt and water. This type of chemical reactions are known as the neutralization reaction.

• Similarly,by the neutralization reaction between the calcium carbonate base and the sulfuric acid, the calcium sulfate salt is produced.

• The chemical equation of this reaction is :

H2SO4 + CaCO3 = CaSO4 + CO2 + H2O

Answer:

The base is Ca(oh)2

and the acid is H2So4

The reaction is
