Name the acid present in the tobacco

the natural acid in tobacco smoke can protonate nicotine, while the natural bases eg ammonia tend to neutralize the acid and keep more nicotine in the unprotonated form.

The tobacco has some natural acids. For example, formic acid, acetic acid, propionic etc.
