For dissecting and investigating the internal and external structures in the kidney of a goat, we will need different but basic dissecting instruments in a lab. They are:-

A freshly extracted kidney from a goat, a dissecting board, a clean hand towel, a clean tray, a ruler, a dissecting kit including the dissecting knife and a normal butchering knife, scalpel, scissors, a clean pair of comfortable hand gloves, and a disposal bag.

The ruler is usually used by the investigator. The different parts of the kidney and the adipose tissues are cut and placed on the tray to show them later to the investigator.
