The states of India, that produces apple are - Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Jammu Kashmir being an union territory of India also is considered as highest apple producing place.

Every year India produces approximately 20 lakh tonnes of apple.

Jammu Kashmir produces 70% of apple, Himachal Pradesh produces 21.5% apple. Apple production requires cool climatic condition. Hence the temperature of these states are only favourable for apple cultivation.
