The region where axon is not covered by the myelin sheath is the junction of the adjacent myelinated segments called 'Node of Ranvier'. The myelin sheath is formed by Schwann cells and each Schwann cell covers a part of the axon.

The cell body contains a large spherical nucleus along with a large number of Nissl's granules within the cytoplasmic matrix.
