thThe culture of bacteria called “Lactobacillus delbrueckii” produces yogurt. In India Yogurt is commonly called Dahi and Curd. Hence the process of making curd from milk using lactic acid bacteria is called curdling, while yogurt is formed by fermentation of lactobacillus bacteria.
