The basic amenities found in nature are:

1. Food- Plants are gifts of nature and are found all around us. They provide us food directly or indirectly. Certain parts of the plants can be directly consumed such as root( carrot), stem(ginger), and leaves( spinach).

2. Oxygen- Plants provide us the oxygen that is required for survival. They help in balancing the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thereby facilitating survival.

3. Water- It is an universal solvent and life is impossible without it. Water is required for drinking and also for other activities.  We get water from the natural water bodies or from rain.

4. Clothing- Plant products such as cotton, jute, flax, hemp, etc. provide us the raw materials for making clothes and help us to protect ourselves from the adversities of climate change.

5. Shelter- Houses can be made from trees( wood from trees) and thereby provide humans a place to live.
