Answer:

quantisation of charge means a charge can have sertain no.of electrons.

it can only specific no.of packets of charge.

This can be given by

Q=ne

where;

n=no.of electrons

e=charge of electron =1.9×10^-19

Answer:

Quantisation of charges , means that the charges are like small packets of energy which are present in the form of integral multiples of fundamental charge.

It means that, charge on any particle cannot take any arbitrary values, like fraction , irrational, etc.

Only integral values can be possible.

Charge on any particle is given by,

  • q = ± ne

Where,

  • n = integer
  • e = fundamental charge i.e, charge on an electron.

But, there are some exceptions which doesn't follow the rule of quantisation of charge.

For example,

  • Quark particles

Charges on quark particles can be ±⅓e and ±⅔e also.
