Name the basic sources of social change.
Answers
Historians generally agree that "social change" is normally evolutionary, thus slow, and moving in accordance with massive, gradual changes in—for examples—demographics, economics, politics, technology, climate, etc. In normal times, enduring, sudden, structural changes in societies are highly unusual, so that aspirations and claims in philanthropy (private initiatives for public good) to effect "social changes" are almost always exaggerated.
Revolutionary social changes—e.g., unconstitutional changes in the constitution of a polity, or exogenous transformations of social institutions, or socially powerful innovations in science or technology—are possible, though rare throughout history.
Causation in history is best defined as the "coincidence of conducive conditions." Accordingly, the way to make certain things happen is to identify, pile up, and connect, their conducives—and of course to reduce the influences of impediments.
The basic sources of social changes are population growth, change in the composition of society, immigration, etc.

- Due to globalization, people are now moving and setting in different parts of world, they are brought up in different societies but are living in others which creates a mixture of both social impacts on them.
- If their number is large enough they also affect population of host country which leads to several social changes.
- The same is in case of immigration. The change in gender workforce is also an important reason for social changes.
