Unlike arteries, veins contain valves that ensure blood flows in only one direction. (Arteries don't require valves because pressure from the heart is so strong thatblood is only able to flow in one direction.)Valves also help blood travel back to the heart against the force of gravity.

Blood vessels which have valves is veins,to ensure that the blood only flows in one direction.They dont have elastic walls as arteries as the blodd is no longer under pressure.Pls mark me brainliest
