Bone is a dynamic tissue. It consists of 3 types of cells.
Osteoblasts
Osteocytes
Osteoclasts … Out of these osteoclasts belong to mononuclear phagocytic system . They help in bone resorption. They result in demineralisation of the bone.
Osteoblasts are actively dividing cells which help in mineralisation or bone deposition. Osteoblasts become inactivated and are transformed into osteocytes. Osteocytes are enclosed within the lacunae in an osteon.
