The photosynthesis process takes place in the chloroplast organelle in the growing tissues.

As the chlorophyll pigment is available in the chloroplast organelle which is the main photosynthetic pigment, with the help of the molecules they capture the energy of light.

This process takes place commonly in all autotrophic eukaryotes.

There's also two types of chlorophyll, a and b. The light dependent reactions of photosynthesis occur on the membrane of thylakoids in the chloroplasts. And the light independent reactions, also known as the Calvin-Benson cycle, occur in the stroma of the chloroplast.
