In Prokaryotic Cells, the hereditary material lies naked in the cytoplasm. This means that there is no membrane around the material. A Prokaryotic Cell is a primitive cell, which lacks membrane bound nucleus, mitochondria, and any membrane bound organelle.

Answer: The correct answer is- Prokaryotic cell.

Prokaryotic cell is the one that does not contain nucleus and any membrane bound sub-cellular organelle. The hereditary material ( genetic material)  of these cells is present in the cytoplasm as their is no nucleus. In other words, the hereditary material lies naked in the cytoplasm of the cell.

Example- Bacterial cell ( like E.coli) is prokaryotic cell.
