The cell is

Neuron or Nervous cell.

Neuron is a cell that helps in control and coordination in animals by transmitting electric impulse messages to brain.

Its parts are...

  • Dendrites
  • Axon
  • Cell body
  • Axon Terminals.

The neurons, the constituents of the nerves tissues, control and coordinates in the functioning of he animal body. The nerve tissues are mainly of three types namely,

1)Afferent neuron

2)Efferent neuron and

3) Inter-neuron

The afferent neuron can also be determined as the sensory neuron as it transmits the nerve impulses from the sense organs to the brain.

The efferent neuron or motor neuron transmits the nerve impulses from the brain to the sense organs. It is responsible for the action in the external stimuli.

The inter-neuron connects the afferent and efferent neuron.

A nerve cell or neuron consists of the cell body, dendron, dendrites, axon, synapse, myelin sheath and nodes of ranvier.
