Brief Note:-

Lord Indra, who was the king of gods, found the combat between Shri Rama and Ravana unmatched since Shri Rama was standing on the ground and the king of ogres, Ravana, was seated on a chariot while having combat. So Lord Indra sent his charioteer, Mātali, to invite Shri Rama to mount on his chariot and continue his combat with Ravana.
