Chlorine chemicals are very effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi that contaminate water. Four types of chlorine chemicals are commonly used in agriculture: Sodium Hypochlorite, Calcium hypochlorite, Gaseous chlorine and Chlorine dioxide.
