The hollow chitinous tubes are the kind of the veins that helps in the flight as they are the supporter for the wings. An elastic membrane is responsible for the joining of the four different sclerites. the dorsal sclerite is also called as the tergite and it is present at the dorsal side, ventral side is called as the sternite and pleurites are the lateral sclerites. The thick, strong and leathery exoskeleton is made up of the chitin and prevent them from dessication.
