1.Tracheids:Tracheids are prolonged (long) cells with tapering ends .It's functions is to conduct water through pits .They are dead cells

2.Tracheae:Tracheae is a very long tube like structures having no end.It us formed by a row of cells.Its function is also to conduct or transport water.It is made up of dead cells that's why they are dead cells of xylem.

Both Tracheids and Tracheae transport water over a long distance like tip of the root to the upward portion of the tree.It also provides strength to the plants as mechanical support.

3.Xylem Fibres:Xylem fibres are also dead cells made up of sclerenchyma cells.It also supports the plants in conducting water.
