Stomach has gastric glands which secrete gastric juices...These juices are:
HCL:It makes the food acidic for pepsin to act on it and kills the germs present in the food.
Pepsin:It digests Proteins
Mucous:It protects the lining of the stomach from the action of acid...
Liver secrete bile salts which emulsifies fats and makes the food alkaline for pancreatic enzymes to act on it...hope it helps....

HCl or hydrochloric acid, pepsinogene and mucous are secreted by STOMACH. HCl is to kill the harmful bacterias entered body through oesophagus and providing an acidic medium to pepsinogene which converted into pepsin and works for protein digesting only in an proper acidic medium. Mucous protects the walls of stomach from HCl.

Liver secrets bile juice which neutralises the acidic character of food entering to small intestine from stomach to tripsin to work on food which digests fats
