The compounds which are used to form aqua regia are Nytric acid and HCl.

•Aqua regia or nitro-hydrochloric acid may be a highly corrosive mixture of acids, a fuming yellow or red solution.

•The mixture is created by freshly mixing concentrated Nytric acid and HCl i.e. hydrochloric acid.

•optimally during a volume ratio of 1:3. Aqua regia is extremely corrosive that it can dissolve metals, like gold and platinum.
