When the cell is put in a hypotonic solution then the cell swells up. This is because the particles move from the higher concentration towards the lower concentration. And, in hypotonic solution the solution has higher concentration as compared in cell. Therefore, the cell become "turgid".This condition do not have any special name.
The condition when the cell gets shrink when placed in a hypertonic solution is called Plasmolysis and the cell is called Plasmolysed cell.
