Some of the important crops grown in Kalaburagi division are rain fed and some of them includes jowar, bajra, gram, tur, groundnut, sunflower as well as sugarcane.

Irrigated crops here are rice, wheat and sugarcane.

This district is bounded by Bijapur district on the west as well as Solapur district of Maharashtra state.
