Presbyopia is an eye defect caused in old age.The person with this defect cannot see nearby objects clearly. This defect is caused because of the gradual weakening of the ciliary muscles and diminishing flexibility of the eye lens caused due to ageing.

Convex lens of suitable focal length is used to correct presbyopia.
