Jalaluddin Khalji is the first Delhi Sultan who first invaded Deccan. Jamaluddin Khalji ,1290 To 1296; was the main founder of thedynastyof Khalji.

They ruledSultanate of Delhi from 1290 to 1320.Earlier named Firuz, Jalal-ud-din started his career as an officer of the Mamluk dynasty, and promoted to an important post under Sultan Mohiuddin.

After Qaiqabad became ill, his infant son Shamsuddin Kayumars  was appointed by imams as the new Sultan, and tried to kill Jalal-ud-din.

Instead, Jalal-ud-din had them killed them , and became the Sultan.
