➪ Lightning Conductor.

\huge\tt\orange{Information}

How does it works?

➪ A lightning conductor minimises the possibility of lightning by neutralising the negative charge on the clouds with the induced positive charge developed on the Spikes if somehow lightning takes place even now the lightning conductor provides safe part for the electrical discharge to flow down to the Earth and the building remains safe and unaffected.

Describe its construction.

➪A lightning conductor consists of a thick copper strip fitted on the outside of a building. At the top of strip there are metal Spikes with shop edges. On the lower side, the copper strip is connected to a metal plate which is buried deep inside the soil so as to ensure a good conductor between the metal plate and the earth.

Answer:

its a lighting conductor which protect our building fom getting a direct lighting strike as because the conductor conducts the electricity from the strike and pass it to the earth for which no damage is done to the building
