Name the different type of solution give one example of each
Answers
Answer:
Types of Solutions - Solid, Liquid, and Gas
An example is hydrogen (solute) dissolved in palladium (solvent).
The different types of solution:
Based on the type of solvent:
Aqueous solution:
Solutions with water as the solvent is said to be an aqueous solution. Eg., sugar or salt mixed with water.
Non-aqueous solution:
Solutions with solvents other than water like petrol, ether, benzene, CCL4 etc. Eg., naphthalene dissolved in benzene.
Based on solute concentration:
Unsaturated solution:
When the 'solvent can dissolve more solute' at a "definite temperature", it is said to be an unsaturated solution, like 1% of sodium chloride
Saturated solution:
When the solvent can't dissolve any more solute at a definite temperature, it is said to be a saturated solution, like 40% sodium chloride
Supersaturated solution:
The "amount of solute" is more than the solvent, the solution becomes supersaturated like 70% sodium chloride solution.
