These are also considered to be exocrine glands which have ducts to drop their secretions into the target organ directly. The secretions of the digestive glands help in the process of digestion. These glands include salivary glands, gastric glands, intestinal glands, liver and pancreas.

a) Salivary glands secrete saliva along with enzymes.Ptyalin is the strach hydrolysing enzyme secreted by salivary glands in human beings. It is also called as salivary amylase. Ptyalin secreted in the mouth brings about digestion of starch in the mouth itself. It hydrolyses starch into disaccharaides like maltose and isomaltose and other small dextrins called as limit dextrins. Ptyalin hydrolyses at about 30 percent of the starch in the mout itself.

b) Gastric glands secrete HCL, pepsinogen, mucous.Gastric juice is a secretion of gastric glands located in the lining of the stomach. It is mainly made up of electrolytes, mucus, enzymes, hydrochloric acid, intrinsic factor etc. HCl secreted by parietal cells provides acidic medium for many enzymes to get activated. Neck cells secrete mucus which lubricated the passage of the food. Chief cells secrete pepsinogen which helps in the digestion of proteins after getting activatedthen into pepsin by HCl. Enzymes of the gastric juice bring about digestion of different components of the food. Gastric lipase helps in emulsification of lipids in the stomach. Partially digested food in the stomach is called as chyme and this passes on into small intestine.

c) Intestinal glands are present in the inner lining of small intestine. These secrete various enzymes which aid in the process of digestion of all the components of food. Maltase, sucrase and lactase bring about digestion of carbohydrates. Peptidases help in digestion of proteins. Enterokinase helps in the activation of other enzymes

hey dear here your answer;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
________⭐⭐___________

# the digestive glands are;

1. salivary gland.
2. gastric gland.
3. Liver.
4. pancreas.
5. intestinal gland.

1. salivary gland; when we put food in our mouth then salivary gland produce saliva which contain the salivary amylase enzyme. This enzyme convert the starch into sugar. saliva also help wetting the food so that it swallote easily into the food pipe.

2. Gastric gland;when the food reaches to our stomach then gastric gland which situated iner wall of stomach start to produce a gastric juice which contain hydrochloric,pepsin and mucus.

↪ hydrochloric acid kill the germs which enter along with our food and also help to make the food acidic so that Pepsin break down the protein into simple protein. mucus present inner wall of stomach from the colloision due to hydrochloric acid.

3. Liver; the small intestine receives two types of juice such as vile juice Which produced by liver and pancreatic Juice Which produced by pancreas.
so firstly we talk about vile juice;
vile juice is basic in nature and when the food reaches in small intestine then its nature acidic due to hydrochloric acid but the vile juice made the basic nature of food.
vile juice also break down the fat in fat into imulsified fat.

4. pancreas; pancreas produce pancreatic juice which contain two types of enzyme such as a lipase which breakdown the emulsified fat into fatty acid and trypsin which break down the simple protein into amino acid.

5. intestinal gland; intestinal gland situated in the small intestine which produce the intestinal juice by which the total food has completely digested such as fat into fatty acid,sugar into glucose, protein into amino acid.
so small intestine is also known as completely digested Side.

☺ Hope this helps you deaR ✌✌.
