electric generators convert mechanical energy into electrical energy you can see figure on Google and your text book

i) Earth wire prevent us from shocks

rating of fan and light - 5 A

and rating of appliances above 2Kw - 15 A

hope it helps you Mark as brainliest plz ☺

HOLA friend!!
Rajdeep here....

An AC generator is the device which converts mechanical energy of its rotation into electrical energy. An AC generator works on the principle of Electromagnetic induction, according to which, if there is a change in the magnetic flux linked with the coil, an emf is induced in the coil. Refer to the attachment to get the diagram of an AC generator.

(i) An earth wire is connected to the metallic case of an appliance. Whenever the live wire comes in contact with the metallic body of the appliance due to break of insulation or any other reason, the heavy current flows through the earth wire to the earth, the fuse melts, and breaks the circuit, thus saving the appliance from damage, and you, from getting a fatal shock.

(ii) Short circuiting is the generation of heat (overheating) of wires when the live wire comes in contact with the neutral wire. In this case, the current gets a zero-resistance path to flow, due to which, the wires heat up to the extent that it causes a fire.

(iii) (a) Current rating of a circuit containing light and fan is 5A (5 Amperes).
(b) Let the Power of the appliance be 2kW = 2000W
Let the voltage supply be 220V.
Now, safe limit of current through it = P/V
= 2000/220 = 9.09A

Hence, the fuse rating for such appliances is 10A or more.

Thanks!
