Electromagnetic radiation is energy that is propagated through free space or through a material medium in the form of electromagnetic waves, such as radio waves, visible light, and gamma rays. The term also refers to the emission and transmission of such radiant energy.

The electromagnetic radiations which are produced when high energy electrons are bombarded on a metal target is known as the X-ray.

This x-ray is highly radioactive.

But we use this in the medical field to get the pictures of the bones, without cutting or harming our body.

Due to this high radioactivity ,we have to be very careful while dealing with the X-ray.
