Answer:

The rate of evaporation is affected by the following factors:

Temperature: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in temperature.

Surface area: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in surface area.

Humidity: The amount of water vapour present in the air is called humidity.

Answer:

There are five factors that affect the rate of evaporation. They are :

1 Temperature -It is observed that evaporation is faster on a sunny day when temperature is high. So temperature is directly proportional to evapora

2 Humidity- Humidity slows the rate of evaporation. If water vapours already present in environment then it slows the evaporation. So Humidity is inversely proportional to evaporation.

3. Wind speed :- wind speed also ays an important role in evaporation. Evaporation is fast if wind speed is fast.

4. Surface area:- Evaporation is faster if surface area is wide.

5. Nature of liquid :- Some liquids get evaporated more easily as compared to others. Those liqids are known as volatile liquid such as petrol etc.
