Latitude-

The latitude of Tropic of cancer passes through Rann of Kachch in the west and Mizoram in the east thus, dividing India into 2 equal parts.

So, India has a climate both of tropics and subtropics.

Altitude-

India has mountains in the front of altitude 6,000 m and width of about 30 m.

These mountains do not let the cold Siberian winds from North West Asia enter India.

This is why India experiences milder winters than that compared to China.

Pressure and wind system-

The Western Cyclonic Disturbances affect the climate of North western India.

The Jet Streams that get attracted by the low pressure created in India in summers help the Western Cyclonic Disturbances to enter India.
