<b>There are Many Factors which Affect the Temperature of a Particular area some of which are :-

• Altitude - There is a Thin Layer or mass of Air at high altitudes and just the opposite in Low Altitudes. So, The Absorption of Sun's heat is more at Low Altitude resulting in high Temperature and the absorption at high altitude is less, so the temperature is low.

• Latitude - Certainly, the most important factor. As the Latitude Increases, the distance from sun also Increases. So, this is the reason that Regions near the Equator are Hotter Than Those which are far from it.

• Distance from sea and ocean - We Know That Rays of Sun Has a Direct effect On Earth's oceans and Seas. So this also counts as a factor. This Can Be Described as follows :-

» During Summers, Earth slightly Inches closer to the sun which causes Direct Fall of Sun's rays on Earth And the Water Due to this Gets slowly Heated. On the Other hand, Land Gets Heated Quickly and Cools Down Faster than the Oceans and Seas which causes the Regions which are far from sea to experience higher temperature than the Coastal regions.

» During Winters, The Earth is a Bit far from sun and Slanting rays of Sun Fall on Earth. As We know, That Water absorbs more heat than Land. As a Result, the Land Gets Less Heat To absorb and Cools Down very fast resulting in decreasation in Temperature.

• Oceanic Current - The Movement of Water in Oceans Depend upon sea Breeze and Temperature. This Motion of Water is Continuous and takes Place at the Banks of Oceans and are known as Oceanic Current. Currents which flow From Equator Are Warm and the Currents which come From Polar Regions Are Cold. So The Area Where Warm Current Flows has a High temperature and the area which Experience Cold Currents has a Low Temperature.
