The center of gravity is a geometric property of any object. The center of gravity is the average location of the weight of an object with mass. Ideally situated above the base of support, for tall objects like buildings, pillars, etc. the Critical Point is reached when the Center of Gravity is no longer above the base of support. The only factor it depends on is it's location. All objects behave as though their mass is concentrated at a point - this point being
the center of gravity. Therefore, when the shape of the object is not uniform, finding out the cg could be complicated.
