What is Crop Production?

In Geography/Agriculture, crop production refers to the rate at which crops are produced in a given square of land.

What factors affect crop productions?

• GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITION

1. Environmental conditions like annual rainfall has a huge role in crop production.i.e. for soil irrigations

2. Natural Soil fertility also required.

3. Proper wheathering and adequate amount of sunlight.

4. Tilting and cropping should be done with proper time, force and also with good quality seeds.

5. Temperature and weather should be applicable along with average wind speed.

6. Land size has major role in crop production. It is directly proportional to the produced crops.

• ECONOMICAL CONDITION

1. Famers should purchase good variety of HYV seeds, fertilisers and manures.

2. Crop protection should be taken care by insectisides and pesticides.

3. Proper ware-house for storage is also very important.

4. Fences should made, Irrigators should be used and Electric supply should not be erratic.

5. Skilled workers are required .

* Government should take proper care if Farmers with his polices and welfare shemes.
