1. Black soil or regur soil is also called black cotton soil.This is because cotton grows extremely well on black soil.

2. Cross wind strip cropping is the process in which crops or plants are arranged in such a way that they are perpendicular to the prevailing direction of the wind.This is done so as to reduce wind erosion.

3. The soil is Laterite soil.The term laterite means brick i.e these soils are red in color.This red color is due to iron oxide present in high amount in these soils.They are mostly found in hilly areas.
