Hii Dear,
◆ Oxidation of ferrous sulphate -
Ferrous sulphate can be oxidised to ferric sulphate with the help of nitric acid or hydrogen peroxide.
(1) Nitric acid (HNO3) -
6FeSO4 + 3H2SO4 + 2HNO3 --> 3Fe2(SO4)3 + 4H2O + 2NO
(2) Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) -
2FeSO4 + H2SO4 + H2O2 --> Fe2(SO4)3 + 2H2O
Hope this was helpful. Thanks for asking...
