1) Conversion of liquid into gas is the process called vaporization or evaporation. In the process of vaporization and evaporation the liquid substance is turned into gaseous form either due to change in temperature or due to change in pressure. Examples of evaporation are the boiling of water, milk or tea,etc.
2) Conversion of gas to solid directly is the process of desublimation. Desublimation is the process of direct conversion of gas into solid without the gaseous substance being converted into liquid. The example of desublimation is the conversion of air we breathe out into ice particles or frost during cold weather.
