Vehicular standard is Euro Bharat vehicular standards.
These norms were first set up to control pollution in year 2000 and have been upgraded since to BS 2, BS 3 and now BS 4 norms. BS 4 norms have been in place since April 2010 but were enforced for the entire country on 1st April 2017.
This norms mean that any vehicle running on road has to adhere to a specific emission norm in order to reduce pollution.
