(a) Lifting a bucket:

Muscular force (pull)

  • Lifting means pulling the bucket upwards where our hand or our muscles is the agent. The muscular force acting on it is causing an effect to be seen.

(b) Apple falling to the ground:

Gravitational force

  • The apple falls towards the earth due to the action of gravitational force. As the apple is smaller in mass, hence it is pulled towards the earth.
  • This was the event which made Newton wonder!! And as a result increasing our syllabus in the books. :(

c) Squeezing a lemon:

Muscular force (push)

  • Squeezing a lemon to separate the lemon juice is due to the action of muscular force. The agent is our fingers and making an effect on our lemon.
