Name the forces acting on a plastic bucket containing water held above ground level in your hand. Discuss why the forces acting on the bucket do not bring a change in it's state of motion.​

The forces acting are:

1. Muscular force (on your hand)

2. Gravitational force (on the bucket)

The muscular force acts in upward direction whereas the gravity acts in downward direction. Both these forces balance each other and thus are not able to bring a change in its state of motion.
