The four regions of the fore-brain and their functions are:

Occipital lobe:

  • This region performs the function of usual reception. In other words, whatever one sees or hears is received by this region.

Temporal lobe:

  • This region is responsible for auditory reception. It is the region that receives all audible signals.

Parietal lobe:

  • This region is responsible for touch, smell, temperature and conscious association.

Frontal lobe:

  • This region is responsible for all muscular activities that take place in the body.
