✯rigveda: this veda has many hymns in the praise of gods.

✯yajurveda: yajus are a type of mantras sung during religious activities. it is of two types black yajurveda and white yajurveda.

✯Samaveda: this veda also has many hymns which are sung by priests.
 
✯Atharvaveda: Atharvaveda means the Veda of knowledge. it has got information about science, mysteries etc.

1-rigveda : it consists of 1028 hymes and 10600 verses , organised into 10 mandals .
2-yajurveda : it has two parts 1 - krishna yajurveda and shukla yajurveda . it consists of ritual formulas which are said by a priest .
3-samaveda : it consists of vedic melodies and chants 
4-atharvaveda : it is the storehouse of everyday procedures . it consists of 730 hymes and 6000 mantras , stored in a series of 20 books .
