The spinal cord is a long, fragile tubelike structure that begins at the end of the brain stem and continues down almost to the bottom of the spine.

Now, Functions of Spinal Cord?

Spinal cord does three types of functions:

1) It carries message signals of motion from your brain to your body parts.

2) It returns sensory signals from body parts to your brain.

3) It performs reflexive actions

4) And provides support to our body.

Answer:

1.To relay messages from the brain to different parts of the body (usually a muscle) in order to perform an action

2.To pass along messages from sensory receptors (found all over the body) to the brain

3. To coordinate reflexes (quick responses to outside stimuli) that don't go through the brain and are managed by the spinal cord alone
