Birds have only one functional ovary which is present on the left side. In fact, it remains vestige and ovaries in birds are analogous to tests in males.

This condition has been identified with both gonads and endocrine glands.

They have ability to product lay of bunch eggs and however only one working ovary have. It is found in left side apparently can make only few eggs.
