Hydrogen Sulphide ( H2S )


The compound of Iron and Sulphur is Ferrous Sulphide ( FeS )


REACTION INVOLVED ----

FeS + HCl (dil.) =========>> Fe(Cl)2 + H2S

The above reaction is Double Displacement reaction.

Here H2S gas is evolved which can be identified by its Foul or Rotten egg like smell.
